Week of February 12 to February 16

We are full steam ahead for competition! This week, our goals include:

  • debugging our coding system

  • pit design

  • finishing the Impact Award application

  • the first session of our STEAM Camp!

As mentioned last week, we have our STEAM Camp happening THIS Wednesday (02/14) and NEXT Wednesday (02/21)! You can sign up through the QR code on the website; prepare for two nights of 3-D Design and an introduction to CAD Design! Both dates are mandatory for attendance. We can not WAIT to hang out with everyone who signs up!

We would also like to give this week's Sponsor Shout-Out: thank you to The Medicine Shoppe for supporting out team this season! All donations and sponsorships to/for the team go towards robot materials and community outreach events. Without our sponsors, robotics wouldn't be possible; we appreciate you!

This week's final senior spotlights are Mary Kayser, Isaac Hill, and Calvin Snesrud!

Mary Kayser is a 4 year member, and is currently planning on majoring in biochemistry and pursuing a career in the medical field after high school. Her favorite robotics memory is "listening to Fleetwood mac all the time," and her favorite song is Nude by Radiohead.

Isaac Hill is a first year member, and plans on operating heavy equipment after high school. His favorite robotics memory is "taking apart and re-assembling the robot 6 times in 2 weeks," and his favorite song is Buy Dirt by Jordan Davis.

Calvin Snesrud is a 3 year member, and he plans on majoring in business after high school. His favorite robotics memory is "showing up," and his favorite song is Sedona by Houndmouth. #MeetTheTeam

Don't forget to sign up for our STEAM Camp, open for 5th-8th graders.

Two weeks until Week Zero and we are eager, excited, and anticipating it!!!

See you next week
